If you've joined I thought it would be fun to see where we all came from and have ended up. Add your comments and maybe this experience will help people with that family tree they have always wanted to do but never got around to it.

Permalink Reply by Jackie Sheehan on November 22, 2007 at 12:47am: I'll go first. We are the Sheehan's from the poor section of Cork City (the lanes) . My grandfarther John J Sheehan and his eventual wife Mary Riley came to the USA very early 1900's not sure of the dates.

Family in Ireland - The Twomey's Tower IE. St Anne's Hill about a mile or so from Blarney Castle.
Sheila (Punch) Twomey married Maurice (great guy aka Mossie). Her mother was a Riley. Happy 80th Mossie!

Lost contact with the Sheehan's in Ireland ... Mary & John settle in Cambridge MA USA & had 3 children ..my dad John (Somerville MA) , Edward Arlington MA), and Mary now O'Brien (Lincooln Ma); ▶ Reply to This
