- I was born in Boston Massachusetts in a predominantly Irish neighborhood to a large Catholic family. I'm the third of eight sibs. When I was seven years old my family moved into the suburbs. I grew up listening to my mother and father telling Irish tales and singing Irish songs. I grew to love those songs and today I'm still singing them to my children. I gained a strong sense of family and our very large extended family stays close. We love to get together and play misic. St. Paddys day is always a big party at the Bradys.
I've always been an Irishman at heart and it wasn't until my late forties that I decided to take up the language. I have a long way to go with it but I still keep trying.
Irish Celtic music seems to speak to my soul. I listen to it frequently and just can't seem to get enough!
In a few years, when I retire, my wife and I plan to visit Ireland. I'd like to go in August and take in the music festival in Donegal.
Aside from my Irish interests, I'm an avid photographer, not by trade, but as a passionate hobby. I mostly shoot sports, but dabble in portraiture. I also love the game of golf and play whenever I can. Growing up, I played Ice hockey. I think I was 43 before I stopped playing, not because I wanted to, but because there is no Hockey rink in my current location.
I also like to play guitar, although I'm not very good but I'm good enough to entertain my family and myself when I'm in the right mood!
And that's about it! I'm an ordinary man living an ordinary life but find pleasure in many things and it keeps me content. That's about all a man can ask.

- Altan, Annuna, Enya, Moya, Niamh Parsons, Andy M. Stewart, Déanta, Dervish, Van Morrison, Dropkick Murphys, Afro Celt Sound System, Gaelic Storm, etc, etc, etc.......
I also like The Beatles, The Eagles, The Stones, The Doors, anything Blues, some Classical music, on so on!
There's so much excellent music out there, it would be a crime to limit yourself to one genre. If it's good, I like it!
- Favorite TV Shows:
- Law & Order, The Closer, Star Trek Next Generation, Mash, The Beverly Hillbillies, I love Lucy, lots of other stuff.
- Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc)
- Mostly technical stuff relating to photography.
- Favourite Place?
- Amongst old growth firs and spruce in the rain forests of the Pacific Northwest!

Nice to meet you.
Just found your photographers group and joined it as I just started to photograph with my new DSLR camera.
In a Motel 8 in Bentwood, OR right now. Was great meeting you also the other evening...yes we will all have to get together for a jam/meeting/story...would be great. Did get some bad news after we meet with you the other night...my sister's husband who has been fighting cancer is losing the battle and has a few weeks to live. So we have cut the trip shorter and are on our way now. Wanted to do the Olymipic area in 2 days...but did it in one. WOW such beauty. Saw the ridge, Cresent lake, Ruby Beach, Hoh, Kalalock and camped at the Rainforest at the south end in the rainforest. We will be back again one day...so beautiful and not enough time to see all. Today went to see Mt. St. Helens...the force of that mountain was awsome and a reminder of how little we really are. Well got to get to sleep so we can make San Francisco tomorrow (area my sister lives in). It was fun meeting you and Doug, added to the trip to get all the advice you two had to give us on your places and then meeting you guys was the icing on the cake for us at each place. Email when we get to a service again.

Just checking to see how you are doing? We are getting ready for a trip from Yellowstone to Vancouver than back down to Nevada. We are going to Victoria in Canada also...coming back on a ferry in your neck of the woods. Do you have any sugguestions on MUST see places around there? Good place(s) to eat? We are tent camping most of the trip so we can save gas with the car...adventure! Let me know if you have an ideas. Thanks, Pat
