Amy--how is the summer gig season going for you guys??? I played a gig with two other guys about a month ago at a little venue in Portland, ME--lots of fun--we may even decide to do it again. It was my first non seisuin gig.

Hi Amy: We hold an Irish arts camp and classes over the summer, and bring over an artist in residence when we can. I've been asked to teach beginning bodhran this summer, but I've never taught anything before. Any advice for a novice teacher? Go raibh maith agat,

Tom Schultz
Fulton, Missouri

P.S. Were you at Craiceann a couple of years ago?

Nice bio! I teach music aswell. At the time being, I teach keyboard and piano to little kids, and make some nice side cash and have fun doing it. Anyways, it would be nice having you in my group reserved for musicians, "General Musician Chat". Cheers!

Hi Amy. It is Daniel from Milwawkee Irish Fest School. Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance, check out my little Irish group Rowan Tree. Recording is on my Live Ireland spot. We are touring Ireland in May for the second time. Peace, and good drumming to ya.

i have listen to your song and i like it. the mix of bodhran and guitar give to the bodhran a nice rythm.

Wow nice you must be good. I have one and i just start playing after discovering that it was a real musical instrument. I thought it was just a decorative drum of the native people...i was so wrong !!!

I like to play that instrument, it percussion but with a guitar like motion. If i go to milwaukee someday i wil stop by for a lesson of bodhran !

I play in pub sessions, mostly and occassionly sit in with a group that wants to add the bodhran for a gig. Not too many Irish trad groups here in Maine, we mostly import them for the night(: But I am working on changing that.
