About Me:
My family is originally from Ballyseedy. I was able to come over for a visit back in 2000. Did a tour in a week.
I have worked with leather for over 20 years and my craft has evolved from making items for cowboys to bikers and now I am improving my Celtic knotwork. I visited a few of the leathersmiths on the island.
I picked up a Bodhran while I was there and I am slowly learning to play it. I have made a few leather cases for carrying them.
I recently made a leather Coracle and I will soon be making a canvas one.

Hey Gregory,
Yup, heard that story a million times. You can visit her grave. It's draw here for tourists. Just one of the things here in Carbonear. It has a rich historic background like all Newfoundland. You should visit sometime it's God country. Of course, being born & breed here, I'm a little biased. LOL But it is a great place with great people & the best parties. :-)
Take care & God bless,
Char

Great to hear from you! I know what oyu mean about less correspondence when the weather breaks. I feel like I have spent more time on this site making connections than I have been able to do with people I am very close to and who live mnear me! No time, so this is a realy nice way to converse and learn about folks. Anyway, I was wondering about your work--how long does it take you to craft say a belt? I am sure it very intricate in scope yes?
