About Me:: Hello to all!. My name is Jim ("Dimitris" in Greek) and I study physics in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I love Ireland and Irish culture. I would like to find out everything about Ireland's history and civilization. I hope, some day I will have the opportunity to live in Ireland...(and celebrate a St.Patrick's day there..;) )

Favorite Music:: Traditional irish and celtic music of course!!. After that, I like 80's music, and some pop & rock songs. My preferences. Favorite singers and bands are Enya, Danu, Flook, Dervish, (from Irish music) Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, The Cranberries (& Dolores O' Riordan although she is solo now), Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Scorpions, Phil Collins, Alphaville, Hooters, Queen, Journey, Bruce Springsteen ,Air Supply, Heart, ABBA , Anastacia, Chris de Burgh, Kelly Clarkson, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner , Russ Ballard, Nick Cave (and the list goes on.... ) (from rest music styles).

Favorite TV Shows:: The quality of Greek TV is very poor... So, I prefer watching foreign TV series like Lost, Prison Break, and any type of CSI... I used to watch also Star Trek, Friends and John Doe. I recently discovered "House M.D.". This show will maybe make me to give up Physics and study Medicine.... :D :D

Currently Reading? (Books Magazines etc): "Evolution of ideas in physics" by Leopold Infeld

Favourite Place?: The irish countryside (although I have never been there!) and the beautiful greek mountains & islands...

Me and Ireland...

Eurovision Song Contest, Norway 8th May 1996..... I was 8 years old that day and like the whole Greece, I was watching the contest on TV. Being in that young age, you can't realise very well the songs and the whole contest had no interest for me..But suddenly I heard a song which fascinated me a lot. I know! You never know when there will be something picture perfect right in front of you!
Last week it was really hot now it won't stop raining! The weather here is confusing. I like consistency, which St Louis is not giving us! :)
