About Me:: I'm pretty much just your average gamer guy, currently typing this from his little computer-filled house in the middle of nowhere America. I like sailing, biking, computers, ancient history, most sci-fi, and gaming (computer, RPG, wargame, historical... you get the idea). I'm a Geek, I like Geek stuff--mixed with a heavy dose of Jimmy Buffet. I've never been to Ireland, but two branches of my family are from there: The Thompsons in Co. Cork and the O'Rourke's (Ó Ruairc) of Co. Leitrim. I play a little guitar, and am in the process of learning the tin whistle and fiddle.

Favorite Music:: Garbage, Beatles, U2, Louise (from Eternal), Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, anything Classical and anything Celtic.

Favorite TV Shows:: Cowboy Bebop, Firefly, Buffy, Angel, Alias, FarScape, Stargate, BSG, Kim Possible. Star Wars, Star Trek, and anything ever filmed by Akira Kurosawa.

Favourite Place?: North shore of Big Island, Hawai'i at a place called Pololu

I'm excited about my trip as well...I'll probably have way to many photo's to deal with by the time I get back! But I'm ok with that ;-)
